Foundation issues challenge to Brooklawn

Brooklawn was recently awarded a $330,000 grant by the nationally recognized Kresge Foundation, to complete the funding for the construction of three new cottages and a Horticulture Center.

The new facilities are the first phase of Brooklawn’s “Horizons of Hope” Capital Campaign.

As of April 1, 2008 Brooklawn has received $306,021 toward the $645,000 challenge. Brooklawn must raise the balance by December 31, 2008 to be eligible for the $330,000 Kresge award.
