The Brooklawn School

Brooklawn’s on-campus school is provided in collaboration with Jefferson County Public Schools. The school is fully accredited allowing residents to continue their education and gain credits toward graduation or GED. Classes are intentionally kept small (eight or fewer students) to guarantee maximum individual attention. Each student receives an Individualized Education Plan (IEP.)

Brooklawn’s school is staffed with ten Certified Special Education teachers. The newly built facility has a full gym, a computer lab, and a library.

Brooklawn’s school was the first school in Jefferson County, Kentucky to successfully pilot the Fast Forward Reading Program which dramatically improves students reading ability and comprehension.

Private tutoring and remedial reading services are offered in addition to the normal curriculum.

Vocational Educational programs offered at Brooklawn include Auto Mechanics and Horticulture.
