Kosair Charities is a great friend of Brooklawn! We deeply cherish their commitment to helping the children who call Brooklawn home. Below are just a few of the ways Kosair Charities is making a difference.

Health and Wellness

 

Over the years, Kosair Charities has donated tens-of-thousands of dollars to help meet the medical needs of the Brooklawn resident by funding items not covered by Medicaid. These things include, but are not limited to, transportation to the dentist and doctor, additional eyeglasses, and certain over-the-counter medications.

Leading the Way

 

Kosair Charities is the single-largest contributor to Brooklawn's "Horizon of Hope" Capital Campaign, by investing $3 million in the project. Kosair Charities' caring generosity is helping Brooklawn build new cottages and secure a better future for thousands of children for years to come.

Kosair Shrine Circus


Each year, Kosair Carities and community supporters reserve seats for Brooklawn children to attend the Kosair Shrine Circus. Our kids love the clowns, trapeze artists, lion tamers, and the rest of the pageantry of the circus, and for many, it's one of the highlights of the year.

Rides on the Belle of Louisville


Imagining you're Tom Sawyer is easy for our kids during Kosair Charities' annual ride on the Belle of Louisville. Kosair rents out the Belle each year and invites children across the city to join them for a day on the river.

Halloween at the Louisville Zoo


One of the highlights of Halloween each year is Brooklawn's annual trip to The Louisville Zoo's Halloween Party. The boys trick or treat around the zoo dressed in their costumes and get to see all the animals and people who make this event special. Thanks to Kosair Charities, our children are able to participate each year.

Visit with Santa Claus


Thanks to Kosair Charities' unique relationship with Santa and Mrs. Claus, the boys at Brooklawn have a private luncheon each year with the Jolly Old Elf himself. As one could imagine, this is always a huge hit with the boys.

Kosair in the Community


As you can see, Kosair Charities makes a tremendous impact in the lives of the children of Brooklawn. And Brooklawn is just one of many agencies touched by the generosity of this amazing organization.
