Residential Program

Brooklawn is currently seeking candidates for Residential Counselors for the following full-time positions:

  • 2nd shift (4-day work schedule)
  • 3rd shift (5-day work schedule)

Positions require set schedules and working weekend shifts. (Schedules are subject to change when school is not in session: spring, summer, and winter breaks).

Responsible for providing a variety of direct care services to residents, assisting professional staff in the implementation of individual treatment plans, and ensuring the effective operation of the residential program. This is a highly interactive position with some physical requirements.

Pay Scale:

$10.25 per hour/$10.75 per hour with Bachelors Degree.

Excellent advancement/promotional opportunities.

High School diploma or its equivalent required; Bachelors Degree preferred. Previous experience with youth ages 6-18 and/or course work/degree in social services field is desired. Competitive salary and benefits. Minimum 20 years of age.

Milieu Supervisor - exempt position for a residential program serving girls ages 6-11

• Supervises and trains all employees to provide a group living atmosphere conducive to clients’ individual treatment goals
• Successfully facilitates communication and cooperation within the program and across departments
• Implements managerial tasks efficiently and effectively
• Supports the mission, vision and philosophy of Brooklawn
• Shares “on-call” responsibility
• Experience with girls in a residential setting is a plus
• Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree in a social service field and two years experience to include a minimum of one year of supervisory experience; or a High School diploma or equivalent and five years of experience working with children or adolescents in a mental health setting, to include a minimum of one year of supervisory experience.

Base salary: $13.75 non-degree/$14.25 with degree (negotiable based on experience).

Clinical Staff

 

Therapist - full-time, exempt


Provide individual, group, and family therapy. Masters Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field required. License rquired. Prior experience with youth in a psychiatric/residential setting desired. Experience in treating the child population preferred. Computer skills required. Flexible hours with some evening duties. This position will provide sole therapy coverage to Brooklawn’s new girls’ PRTF Cottage as well as some of the boys from the Children’s program.

Receptionist PT Non-Exempt Position

Monday & Tuesday, plus every other Wednesday
8:30a-5:00p

Answers all incoming calls, greets visitors, & completes general clerical tasks as requested or assigned. Sorts & distributes all mail including opening appropriate mail for the logging and copying of payments & contributions, attaching coding sheets to invoices, & signing for/documenting packages & in-kind donations. Manages office supply procurement & copier service/maintenance, maintaining minimum inventory of basic office supplies in the supply closet & ordering other items as required. Clerical exp. in typing & standard business machines required.
