Wisconson youth LIFT Brooklawn

The Trinity Lutheran LIFT Youth Group, from Wisconsin, visited Brooklawn on Thursday, July 15th, as one stop on the group's week-long service trip.
They were here from 12-6pm and spent the first 3 hours helping Ms Ellen Massy (Brooklawn's Horticulture instructor), make the campus more attractive by pulling vines and weeds from fence rows that border Brooklawn's campus before moving on to work in the campus garden.
The group then spent time with the Brooklawn children.
"They played kickball and made 'flubber' and ended their day with a pizza party," said Missy Fountain, Brooklawn's Director of Community Involvement. "This group also collected lots of items in the church and brought with them including hygiene products, coloring books, small toys for the welcome baskets, and gloves, hats and scarves for the winter.
" In the end they were so impressed with the kids and the staff who worked with them and we were so impressed with them. It's great that our kids got to experience such a wonderful time with such a great group of young people. We want to thank them and we hope they come back."
