Iron Man visits the Brooklawn School

Iron Man, the Marvel Comics superhero, and special guest of the 2010 Kosair Shrine Circus, took a moment out of his busy crimefighting schedule on Thursday, February 4, to spend some time with the children at Brooklawn.

Flanked by members of Kosair Shriners, the hugely popular superhero toured the Brooklawn school visiting several classrooms and fielding questions from the wide-eyed children.

"They loved it," said Mike Schultz, Vice President of Development at Brooklawn. "Iron Man is a pretty big guy, and I thought some of the smaller kids might be a little frightened, but they weren't at all. They all couldn't wait to meet him."

The Kosair Shrine Circus will be held February 4th through 7th at Broadbent Arena, at the Kentucky Fairgrounds. For a complete listing of show times, visit the Kosair Shrine Circus web site at www.kosaircircus.com.

Tickets for the circus can be purchased at The Kentucky State Fairgrounds, Broadbent Arena box office, or through Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com for $14, $16, or $20 depending on seat locations.

Iron Man's visit was made possible by Kosair Charities and the Kosair Shrine Temple. Thanks to some special donors, the children of Brooklawn will be attending the circus. It is always a fun and exciting outing for them.

"Kosair has been such a wonderful supporter of Brooklawn for many years, and we appreciate them bringing Iron Man over to meet the children," Schultz said.
