Johson Controls donates to Brooklawn
In April, Johnson Controls Administrative Assistant Paula Chapman visited Brooklawn for a tour as part of the company's preparations for the Metro United Way campaign. That visit made a lasting impression on her.
"Each week, we have casual Fridays, whereby the employees donate $1 to dress down for the day," said General Manager John Gnadinger. "We will take the money collected from that and donate it to a local charity."
The charity they chose this time was Brooklawn and last week, Chapman and Gnadinger presented Brooklawn with a $1,000 check.
"We're also trying to get a group together to come out for a volunteer project," Chapman said.
We would like to thank the employees of Johnson Controls for thinking of the boys and girls at Brooklawn and for their generosity and interest in getting involved in the lives of our kids.
