Brooklawn receives $2 million appropriation

Thank you for helping in Brooklawn's efforts to reinstate a $2 million capital appropriation that was vetoed after the 2006 legislative session. This $2 million capital projects funding included in the state budget will help with construction and renovation projects in Brooklawn' Horizons of Hope Capital Campaign, including Kentucky's first intense residential program for young girls. Brooklawn celebrated at a recent board member when Senator Dan Seum posted dated the $2 million check one final time. Former Brooklawn Board Member Linda Heitzman, pictured with Senator Seum, has been one of Brooklawn’s key volunteers advocating for our children in Frankfort.
